Outlook 2010

POP3

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2010.
  2. In the upper lefthand corner, click on the orange "File" tab
  3. Under the "info" tab on the left click on "Add Account"
  4. In the "Add New Account" window select "Manually configure server settings or additional server types"
  5. On the "Choose Service" page select Internet E-mail
  6. Fill in the following information
    • Under "User Information":
      • Your Name: Your Name Here
      • Email Address: youremail@addresshere.com
    • Under "Server Information":
      • Account Type: POP3
      • Incoming mail server: secure-email-8.luxsci.com
      • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): secure-email-8.luxsci.com
    • Under "Logon Information":
      • User Name: youremail@addresshere.com
      • Password: YourPasswordHere
    • Do NOT check "Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)". Our servers do not support this feature.
  7. Click "More Settings..."
    • Click on the"Outgoing Server" tab and set the following settings:
      • Check the box labeled "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication"
      • Select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server"
    • Click on the "Advanced" tab and set the following settings:
      • Under "Incoming Server":
        • Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
        • Port Number: 995
      • Under "Outgoing Server (SMTP)":
        • Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
        • Port Number: 465
      • Under "Delivery":
        • Set the server to either save or remove messages based on your preferences
    • Press "OK" to close this window
  8. Press "Next" and allow Outlook to perform the connection tests. If all of your settings are correct you can press "Close"as soon as both the sending and recieving tests show a green check mark next to them.
    • If Outlook fails, go back and check your settings carefully, or give Compucast a call and we can help diagnose the problem.
  9. Now you can press "Finish" to complete your account setup. Your account is now setup and configured to work within Outlook!

IMAP

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2010.
  2. In the upper lefthand corner, click on the orange "File" tab

      • Account Type: IMAP
      • Incoming mail server: secure-email-8.luxsci.com
      • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): secure-email-8.luxsci.com
    • Under "Logon Information":
      • User Name: youremail@addresshere.com
      • Password: YourPasswordHere
    • Do NOT check "Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)". Our servers do not support this feature.
  7. Click "More Settings..."
    • Click on the"Outgoing Server" tab and set the following settings:
