SMTP Relaying Error

This message can appear when there is more than one email account configured on the device, and mail that is being sent is going to the wrong email server.  Steps to resolve this problem:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  3. Select the Account hosted by Compucast
  4. Scroll down and click on the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) option
  5. Ensure the Primary Server is "secure-email-8.luxsci.com", and select this
  6. The settings should be:
    • Server: On
    • Host Name: secure-email-8.luxsci.com
    • User Name: (your full email address)
    • Password: (your email password)
    • Use SSL: On
    • Authentication: Password
    • Server Port: 465
  7. Now return to the Mail, Contacts, Calendars view, and switch to your alternate email accounts
  8. Scroll down and click on the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) option
  9. Ensure that "secure-email-8.luxsci.com" is *NOT* in the server list, or is turned OFF
